  1. The 'Swingers' exists in my prints in several versions. Such a
  2. contrasty negative lends itself to all sorts of processes.

  4. The shot was taken in a park on a camera club evening out. The
  5. girls were on swings, and were not part of the planned evening -
  6. look at the shoes, that dates the picture.

  8. I was using a Practica camera at the time, amongst others, and a
  9. 29 mm. wide angle was fitted. I metered for a silhouette -
  10. exposed for the sky - and laid on my back at the side of the
  11. swing.

  13. I focused on the point at which the girls reached at maximum
  14. swing, then waited for them to get there together. This is the
  15. best of a number of tries.
